About TVAMP

Who is TVAMP?

TVAMP (pronounced “Tee-vamp”) is an SEC-registered investment adviser based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Three advisors who began their independent practices in 2006 founded the firm in 2011, and today we are employee-owned. Read our story to see how we got here.

What credentials do your advisors hold?

Many of our Wealth Advisors are CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professionals. To earn the CFP® certification, a planner completes required coursework, passes a comprehensive exam, gains professional experience, and agrees to the CFP Board’s ethical standards.

Our team also includes professionals in tax planning, investments, retirement plans, and estate planning.

Who will I be working with?

Your relationship is led by a dedicated advisor. Around that advisor is a team of financial planners and client service professionals, with access to specialists in tax, estate, and retirement plans when your situation calls for them.

How We Work

How do you approach financial planning?

We start by getting to know you: what matters to you, what you want your money to do, and what is on the horizon. From there we build a plan around your goals, put it into action, and revisit it as your life changes. Investments are one part of that plan, alongside retirement, tax, and estate considerations.

We call this approach Live Invested®. A financial plan rooted in purpose lets you fully invest in what matters most. Learn more about our philosophy.

Will you have a fiduciary duty to me?

Yes. As an SEC-registered investment adviser, we are subject to federal regulation, and we explain how we are paid and any conflicts of interest in our Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. You can read both on our website, and we are glad to walk you through them.

Getting Started

Is the first conversation free?

Yes. Your first conversation with us and the discovery meeting that follows are at no cost, and you will not be charged unless you decide to become a client. We use that time to learn about you and what matters most, and to answer your questions about how we work.

How do I become a client?

Schedule a conversation with us. We will get to know you and your financial situation, and you will get to know us. If it feels like a good fit on both sides, we will talk through next steps together.

What is the minimum to work with TVAMP?

Our minimum is $500,000 of investable assets, which means money you could invest, such as savings, brokerage accounts, and retirement accounts.

How much does it cost?

Our advisory fee is a percentage of the assets we manage, ranging from 0.5% to 1.6% per year, depending on the amount of investable assets and the complexity of your situation.

How do I move my accounts to TVAMP?

Most accounts move to us through ACAT, the standard industry process for transferring accounts between firms. Our team handles the paperwork and coordinates with your current firm, so there is very little for you to do. You do not need to tell your current advisor, though some people choose to.
