Mid 90s
Three paths before financial services

In the mid 90s, our three Founding Partners (Jeff Foster, Scott Fisher, and Jeff Sweat) were playing professional baseball, selling cars, and serving active duty in the Air Force.
2000
The same firm, a few miles apart

Serendipitously, the three joined the same national brokerage firm, unknowingly working just a few miles apart. Each had a dedicated assistant by their side: Lisa Wyrick, Allyson Phillips, and Brenda Shepherd, who are still with us today.
2000 to 2004
Doors, phone calls, and a conference

Knocking on doors and making cold calls led Foster, Fisher, and Sweat to a national conference, where they met and formed a friendship built on shared values, careers, and hobbies.
2006
A big risk, and a little faith

They left the national firm to open their own independent offices, with a focus on the client’s entire financial picture, personalized advice, and simple, transparent pricing.
2010
An intern who proved himself

Luke Bowes joined Jeff Foster’s office as an intern, became a full-time employee after college, and helped lay the foundation for TVAMP.
Fall 2011
TVAMP is founded

Foster, Fisher, and Sweat founded “TVAMP” (pronounced Tee-Vamp), formerly short for Tennessee Valley Asset Management Partners. They operated under the same flag while keeping their separate offices.
Summer 2015
A home in the heart of Knoxville

TVAMP opened its main office, letting the entire team work side by side and giving the founders’ long-term dream room to take shape.
2016
Becoming a true team

The founders added specialized roles such as client care, marketing, compliance, and operations, moving beyond the one advisor, one admin model. A few local Wealth Advisors with 25+ years of experience joined, now independent and free to put the client at the center of every decision.
Spring 2018
Building on our success

Business consultant Perry Chesney was hired to help TVAMP improve its advice, communication, culture, and organizational structure.
2021
Home again

Luke Bowes rejoined TVAMP as Managing Director after a spell in investment banking on Wall Street.
Summer 2024
A new chapter in leadership

TVAMP welcomed Perry Chesney to the advisor team in a new leadership role.
