Why this work?
I’ve been interested in personal finance for as long as I can remember. What started with learning to manage my own money grew into wanting to help other people make sense of theirs.
I spent six years in the U.S. Air Force. I had significant responsibilities protecting people and resources, and I learned how much preparation, attention, and follow-through matter when others are counting on you. I bring that same sense of responsibility to this work. I enjoy getting to know someone, understanding what they’re working toward, and helping them take practical steps to get there.
What’s the first question you ask in a first meeting?
“What’s most important for me to know about you?” There’s usually more to the answer than finances. I want to hear about your family, what’s changing, what you’re excited about, and anything that’s weighing on you. That gives us a much better place to start than a list of accounts.
What do you wish more people understood about money?
You can take your financial future seriously and still enjoy your life today. It helps to be clear about your priorities so you can make thoughtful decisions about both.
For me, those priorities start with my faith and my family. Knowing what matters most gives money a purpose. It helps you decide what’s worth saving for, what’s worth spending on, and where you want to be generous.
Where would I find you on a Saturday?
Most likely spending time with my wife and our two children. They’re my favorite people, and being a husband and father keeps teaching me how to be a better person.
